Biography
H.E. Khou Eanghourt was born in 1975. He holds a bachelor degree in forestry science at the Royal University of Agriculture in 1998, and pursued master degree in plant taxonomy at the National University of Leiden, the Netherland in 2004. He also attended many related short courses like dendrology, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), disaster risk management, ecosystem service, assessment of IUCN redlist of threatened plant species, climate change impact on plant and exceptional plant species.
After university graduation in 1998, he worked for the Ministry of Environment with particular fields of botany, forest ecology, and natural resource management. Late 2008, he moved to the National Authority for Preah Vihear (NAPV), Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, with first promoted as Deputy Department Director of Environment, Forestry and Water. In 2013, He was promoted as the Department Director of Environment, Forestry and Water. He is now a Deputy Director General of the National Authority for Preah Vihear.
