Biography
H.E. Hem Sinath received his Bachelor Degree of Architecture and Urbanism from Royal University of Fine Arts in Phnom Penh in 1999. From 1999 to 2001, he pursued a Master Degree at Chamroeurn Polytechnique University in Phnom Penh. H.E. Hem Sinath's interest focuses mainly on architectural landscape, urban planning and heritage conservation and restoration.
H.E. Hem Sinath has participated mainly in the field of Heritage Conservation and Restoration for many years. For instance, almost 7 years of his career in adhering his favor in heritage conservation and restoration, he worked as a Restoration Project Coordinator for the World Monuments Fund Organization (WMF) at Angkor Monumental Park in Siem Reap province from 2000.
From 2007 to 2021, H.E. Hem Sinath was appointed as Director of the Department of Urbanization and Demography at National Authority for Preah Vihear (NAPV). As a Department Director, he successfully led this department to be a strong department by involving with other departments in order to reach the NAPV’s goal for both two sites, the Preah Vihear Temple site and the Koh Ker site.
From 2021 onward, he has been promoted to Deputy Director General of NAPV to assist Director General of NAPV. In addition, he has been internally assigned to oversee general technical works of departments, particularly the Department of Security and Cooperation, and the Department of Land Management, Urbanization, and Community Development of NAPV.
